Heyy everybody
im new to this forum
im looking to travel to oz in may or june on a working holiday visa. must admit the thought of going alone is quiet daunting, ill probably start in melbourne or sydney but nothing concrete yet so open to suggestions and help. First time going and travelling alone, anyone else going to be in the area or travelling out at this time? Be good to hear from you!

Hey Mike,
I'll be in Sydney around June/July for 3 months and travelling alone too. I'm not planning to work while I'm there but travel up the coast to Cairns probably on the hop on and off Greyhound bus thingy. I suppose I'll get a hostel for a few nights in Sydney before I figure out where to go and what to do! First time travelling alone for me too so pretty scared but very excited!!

I have travelled to Australia for a year and been back in the UK around 2-3 months but heading back out to oz on second year visa, however this time I am doing it alone! SCARY!!
However, I no where I am in Melbourne, so heading back there first, beginning of June I am going to book my flight for so if anyone else is in Melbourne at that time and want to combine our travels etc I am well up for a get together!

glad to see there are a few peeps in the same boat as me and its nice that im not the only one nervous about travelling alone..
im still not sure where to start yet but iv got my renewed passport now so i think ill be booked in a few weeks at the latest. im super excited now i just want to get there
Tamaragreener- im definatly going to travel up the east coast but may work along the way im not sure yet, i'll see what happens, will have to look into the greyhound thingy could be a good move.
chelle323- melbournes defo on my to do list, apparently the nightlife and culture is really good there.
LaurenCasey-most probably will at least visit brisbane at some point along the way up the east coast and u never know i could end up starting somewhere near there.
where is everyone flying from in the uk?

Yeah the nightlife and culture is great. my plan is to work in Melbourne for few months over the Australian winter, and then head up to Queensland for the summer with hopefully the money I have saved over the winter. I guess we are yet to see if my plan works but I think it nice to have a basic plan at least.
