3 days in Mexico, CA or Northern SA - where would you go?

You went to Guatemala and did not see Tikal? Tsk, tsk.

I would have said Cuba but can you get there from the US these days?

I had a day in Cartagena many years ago and quite liked it.

Your real problem is that you only have 3 days and you don't want to spend much of that flying somewhere and back.

I know it's a bit of a waste of such a ticket but have you considered Washington DC?

Lots to see and do there and nearby, and a good nightlife there.

Thanks for the reply. We live in NYC so have been to DC quite a few times. Will in fact be driving down again in a few weeks.

We discovered that Dublin too is a nice short flight away from NYC so will most probably heading to Europe for a long weekend.

If anyone has thoughts on above destinations in CA/SA it would still be great to hear. I doubt we will stay put in NY for too long even after Dublin!
