I'm planning to be in Australia beginning of April then heading on to New Zealand. Haven't booked anything yet but hopefully will do in the next couple of weeks!!! Have you booked anything yet? I'm 21 as well and like you I've never travelled by myself before so would be great to chat to people with similar plans!

I haven't booked anything yet either! I'm thinking NZ first then Australia too. I'm hoping to book something within the next month, I'm under strict instructions by my mum to do my research first haha.
I've had a look at transport in Australia and they have a transport service called greyhound Australia - website link is - http://www.greyhound.com.au/passes
they have loads of options to choose from. I'm thinking of flying to NZ then getting a plane across to Australia, then using the mini traveler pass which lets you get a coach from melbourne to cairnes. It's hop on hop off service so works really well for travelers

Hello! I'm 19 and plan to travel from Melbourne to Cairns early march for 5 weeks and then will be getting a flight to Auckland to embark on the Kiwi Experience for 2 months! I'm doing this alone so would be great to meet up with other people in a similar situation!

I will be in Aus by early May. I fly into Cairns I think and leave from Melbourne, or something like that anyway. Would be good to meet someone like yourself on this as I'm not to keen on going solo whilst traveling either.
