Visa to uk for gambian girl

Hi all!
I recently visited The Gambia forthe second time. Ive been there for two week last november with my workmate who is gambian. On the first night i met his friend's cousin. She is one of the most beautiful girl i ever met. We spent the whole two week together, she came to the hotel, went to the beach, party etc. she is so cool, friendly with all my other friends in the hotel too, they loved her. I met her family as well. We keep in touch ever since talking and chatting every day.
I want to invite her to the uk for 2-3 weeks with a tourist visa. How hard is it for her to get it? What she needs for it, or what can i do to make it easy? If anyone done this before or have any helpful information would be great!
Thanks

Hi,,

Have a look at this.

Hopefully it will give you something to start with.

Steve

Thanks Steve!
I came across with this page... Lot of information sometimes hard to follow
I was just curious if someone has done this before. To see how possible she will get the visa. She is 22, not working, never been abroad, lives with mum and 3 younger siblings...

Hi,

I assume then that she does not have a passport.

That's the first step.

Then she will need a Visa.

The bit below is just my reading of the site I sent you. You or someone needs to read & understand what the site is saying.

Anyway - this is the way I see it...

They want to satisfy themselves that she genuinely wants to visit the UK solely as a tourist for ONLY two weeks ( or whatever ) , that she can support herself while she is there & has the means to go home again.

The fact that she does not work & so has no income means someone, you probably, will have to sponsor her.
You should send her a letter that she can show the Visa people, inviting her to the UK & reason for the visit.

The guide says "If you are not working or paying for your trip, you should include the original financial documents of the person who supports you.

If someone else is paying for your trip, you should explain why they are paying and include their original financial documents."

Your letter should be accompanied with details of yourself. Copy of your passport. Letter from your employer. Your bank statements. etc.

She will need to be able to get to the visa application centre in the British High Commission in Banjul to give fingerprints and have a photo taken.

There is also a fee for the Visa.

If your actual intention is to marry & for her to stay in the country, then she cannot get a VISITOR visa, She would need a different type of VIsa

There is a whole section on that

Not impossible, just be honest & give them as much info as you can, with as much back up as you can.

Not too helpful maybe - but I tried.

Hi! Thanks again, it is helpful. Im just about to get my papers ready, coz yeah i have to sponsor her. Even she has never asked me for money obviously they cant afford things like plane ticket or even the money for visa. I sent her enuf money for the passport and the visa. Hope she can get it and we can book a flight.
Thanks for your help

Good for you. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Faint heart never won fair lady. And all that.

Steve
