Hey peoples. New to the forum and new to travelling. First solo trip in a few weeks and cannot wait!
Hi Hobbsytron,
Welcome!
I too am new to the forum. You will enjoy it here, as you learn a lot about travelling. I love to share experiences, tips and ideas about travel. I hope to see you more often here. I wish to introduce myself. I am an IT specialist who loves outdoors. I travel a lot because of work and hobby. I have been to many different places, but London is the closest to my heart. I love to run, swim and bike. I am a triathlon enthusiast.
Hi Hobbsytron,
Welcome to Travellerspoint!
Congrats on the first solo trip. Where is the trip to and how long are you going? (And while we're playing 20 Questions.. ) What made you take this as your first solo trip?
Cheers,
Kellie

Welcome to Travellerspoint and hope it's useful for planning your forthcoming trip.
Morning, guys!
That's exactly what attracted me to the site, Mark. Looks like an excellent place to share tips and stories. Would have to concur, I'm definitely not a beach and hotel holidaymaker.
I should have really included that in my original post, Kellie, my bad. I'm going to Zadar, Croatia for eight days. The trip will comprise mostly excursions around the islands and hills, eating as much food as I can, and filming/photographing pretty much everything! In terms of why? Let's just say a sudden change in my social situation made me reexamine a few things. Cannot wait to get out there!
Have a good day, people!
Simon
I'm also going to Zadar alone, at the end of next week! I've just got 3 days there so will do a day trip to Plitvice Lakes and probably stay around the city for the other days.
Awesome! I'n doing a day's boat excursion to the Kornati Islands, a bungee-jump off the bridge at Maslenica, just about everything they have to offer at the rafting centre in Obrovac, and I'll probably take a bike south until lunchtime one day and then go back. Also looking to head up into the hills/mountains for a day, and it's the Underwall Festival in the city whilst I'm there. Looked long and hard at going to the lakes, but I think I'll leave them as justification for a return visit!
Sounds great! I was considering the Kornati Islands too as as they look stunning. Would you mind giving me the name of the company you booked this with?
Hi Simon,
Don't worry about not including it in the first post - your answer has sparked a great conversation.
I also can't wait to see your photos now. It sounds like a fantastic trip and a great start for your first solo adventure. Onwards and upwards
Sure. It's Mikado Tours. Website looks awesome and they were very helpful with booking.
