You pick where I go travelling!

Ok here is the situation. I will be starting a new job in January. I am going to hand my notice in on my old job so I leave around end of October which leaves me November and December to go backpacking somewhere.

Central America and/or northern South America.

Cheers,
Terry

Costa Rica & Panama.

travel around asia. it's cheap and lots of sights.. once you are in asia it is cheap to travel around the different surrounding countries as well...

It's the best time of year to be in most of SE Asia and Central America, so I'd go for either of those 2 regions. Also, I'd highly recommend Colombia - I went in February and absolutely loved it. You could easily combine it with Panama, as there are boats between the 2 countries, which is a little trip in itself.

Let us know what you decide!

Thanks guys, I was thinking Central America. I was also considering SE Asia or NZ/Oz. I've done them before, but loved them and only scratched the surface. I've got a couple of months to decide, but i'll let you know.

I was thinking Australia and NZ would be good and obvious choices for that time of year but I was pretty sure you'd been to both. It could be a good opportunity to go back to one or both of them and see anywhere you missed though, especially as you have enough time to make the journey and flight worthwhile.

Another option could be South America - in a couple of months you could visit Argentina, Chile and perhaps one other.

Try picking up some country from SE Asia as it is economical. And,there are many places in SE Asia which you might not have visited yet.
