Trip feedback? Europe

I'll be leaving Canada at the end of April and going on a 4 month trip to visit my extended family in Croatia. While I'm there for that period of time, I'd like to spend some time in each of these cities. I'll be budgeting as much as possible as I'm a student.

I travel pretty quick but 3 nights would do me for each of those.

Vienna I found expensive so personally I would stay in Bratislava and do the hour commute in to save the money.

You get pretty close to Budapest, I'd be tempted to try to add a visit there.

Personal safety: I wouldn't be concerned, apart from normal street smarts. These are generally safer places than where you're coming from.

Fabulous itinerary - so many lovely places on your list. :-)

Bratislava is lovely not much to do or see but still worth a visit maybe check out Zadar the weather should be half decent maybe not to swim but still a great place to relax.

Your itinerary looks fantastic! My best suggestion is to keep this in mind, but not to book too far in advance so that if you decide you need more time in one place or less you can change it as you go. 3 nights in most cities is enough for me, but I'm also a pretty quick traveler. I didn't need 3 nights in Bratislava, but took more in Budapest, for example. I haven't been to most of those places so can't speak from personal experience, but in general I'd say that as long as you use common sense you'll be fine in regards to personal safety. I've been travelling solo for almost 7 months now, and haven't run into any real issues - I'm confident you'll meet people really quickly.

I agree with mapsandmoxie. I've been to Bratislava and Budapest. Bratislava is rather small and you can visit it for 2, maybe 3 days. But Budapest is amazing, one of the prettiest cities I've ever seen. You should spend there more time. But i have to say that Budapest is rather expensive.
