Hi - Im trying to zoom and use coordinates (zoom=, lat=, lon=) on an embedded map with no tripid* on my blog but it is not working. It only works with individual trip maps.
This is a current limitation I'm afraid. You can only use zoomed in views on the individual trip maps. The map code will automatically zoom out to group all the trips on the grouped ones.
Hi Peter, I see that when I'm in the MAP's homepage my multi-trip map is centered and with zoom=2 - exactly the way I want it in my blog. But when I embed it on my blog, it goes back to zoom=1 and decentralized (2 globes). Is there anyway you know I could replicate the MAP's homepage settings? I understand you say it is a limitation but if it is doable in the MAP's homepage I might be able to duplicate it with some insight. Thanks again!
The automatic zoom level is something set by Google designed to contain all the markers on the trip. They take into account not just this, but also the size of the screen and the size of the map window.
So it's the map window size that will be causing different zoom levels in these different views. You could try adjusting the height of your map to see if that changes things. It might.
I think I'll try fix this issue so that you can actually just set the zoom level yourself. Would be much easier than fiddling around.
