My husband and I are planning a Eurpean vacation this year probably late may-early june. We have no agenda and can go anywhere we want. Planning on flying into Barcelona and spending a few days there. Then we thought we would follow the coast through France and perhaps Italy. Planning to ride the rail. We are both fairly adventurous and easy going . More into creating great memories than buying souvenirs.
How long your vacation will be? Depending on time you have think of Montpellier, Marseille, Nice in France. I would definitely go to Italy after France - it is a completly different culture. You may visit Genua and then head for Tuscany region which is a must.
