So i am a newbie here so I thought I would first and foremost introduce myself: I'm Lanny, 18 years old and from the uk. I'm a talented painter and photography is one of my favourite hobbies. All of my friends are headed to university and iknow that that is not the route for me: I need to be out and exploring!!! I don't have much money although I plan to have a small sum before I go and a major flaw is that I cannot drive. I spent a fortune of lessons and even tried automatic but I just cannot drive!! I plan to use a site called workaway while I travel which is basically working in exchange for food and board.. along with hostels and camping. I have no problem with and quite frankly enjoy walking long distances: hiking is another hobby. I want to visit everywhere and anywhere so I'm not overly bothered and destinations I just need a friend at Least for the start! I'm not sure when I would like to start but it will be after august this year as I still have work to fulfil and an art exam to do
I'm sure there's things I have forgotten to mention so please ask! -lanny :o)
Hey how are you? I'm looking at doing something similar, don't really have destinations planned yet
Hi Ben! i'm well thanks, you? awesome! I pretty much wanna go everywhere and anywhere (providing its safe-ish of course) and i dont really have a time limit either i guess,, how about you? anywhere in particular you wanna go?
Same situation lol, ive been to jamaica, Florida, california, las vegas, and colorado but all for small vacations, im looking to get serious into traveling, im interested in so many places which is my,problem lol. BUt a work holiday in australia is definitely up there cause minimum wage is so high, live the life make money and travel moree!!!
Same I just can't decide where to start! I figured start somewhere closer to home the kind of make why way gradually across countries rather than flying constantly from one side if the world to the other .. Plus saves money that way:D then again I agree austraila sounds awesome !
Could you be more specific about your plans?
Hi lanny,am travling to thailand soon 11 March and i would love to have company
I can't go anywhere till after 8th of august unfortunately!! Due to exams and work requirements
My plans, roughly, I guess I would start somewhere close to the UK to save money - France or Spain for example (unless I find a cheap flight somewhere else) and them I would make why way across each country and into the joining country etc, that way I get to explore pretty much everywhere without zig zagging across countries using flights!! This might be very confusing since I have worked out where my starting place will be
