Hi.
when are you due in Kuala Lumpur...?.. ..just to let you know, i have backpacked extensively through myanmar, thailand, laos, cambodia, vietnam , philippines & indonesia...

Hi, since I have not really plan it yet, probably around March 18, I won't be staying long in Singapore and Malaysia, cuz I only have short time to travel around, right after I arrived in Malaysia, I plan to take the train to Hat Yai Thailand.
were you backpacking alone? How was it?
yes... mostly back pack alone... always do lots of research, plan out my itineraries, right to minute details - transport mode & cost, where to stay, what to see and then, as insurance, have my back up plans.... and mostly off the beaten track...
i still do keep those itineraries , each with a theme...
When I recount those trips, no regrets - cos....those places seldom trodden by travellers.
1. Heard of Luang Namtha ( Laos) ?
2. Rattanakiri ( Cambodia)
3. Trang Chim ( Vietnam)
4. Namshan ( Myanmar)
5. Lake Sebu )Philippines) ?
6. Khong Chiam ( Thailand)...?
Is this the first time you are opting for the kind of adventure u have decided on?

Never hearts of that place, in fact. It would be my first time travelling so I'm kinda scared. I'm looking for some companion along the way but if there isn't any until the date come then I will have to explore alone. I only have short time to travel, but I'm gonna use it as a reference for the next travel (longer time period for each country) in the future with my partner.
my budget is really tight, haha, I wonder if I would be able to do it.
hi.
it is natural to be scared, esp. when you are a woman....and it isnt that safe to hook up with someone along the way ...better to have someone with you as travel buddy all the way..! and share expenses , esp. on budget accommodation, food.
You can, of course, go solo...to places that are not so extreme!...
Based on my experience, you can do the Indo-China Loop ( starting from Aranyapratet on Thai side) to Poipet crossing into Cambodia, and after that, exit into Laos at Don Krolor and go up north all the way to Luang Prabang and then exit into Vietnam and head to Hanoi, etc...
It might take about 3 weeks plus, and well, cheap budget, u can do it with mere USD400!.

P.S... The travel period u have decided on... good, but I will be away in Myanmar in April). You have FB..?
