Where are you looking at going within Australia? I'm in Sri Lanka right now but heading to Aus in 2 weeks time to do a WHV. Will be landing in Perth and heading East and up that coast - no real plans yet though.

Hey I'm loving melbourne it's a great city and there's always something on.. Found work difficult but that's because I'm a nurse and had to get lots of paperwork sorted etc. from what I can see there's plenty of work it just depends what field your in..
I started in Sydney, my advice is if your looking to work in Sydney and get a place, arrive late winter (July-September time) this way its easier to find a job and place as most backpackers will of gone by then and will start arriving September-November time so they are there for the summer.
In terms of would I do anything different? Yea, I would of been more careful with my money and not spent it on things I could of got a lot cheaper somewhere else. Clothes, food and rent etc. But other than that, I wouldn't of changed the experience at all. Was incredible. So much so I'm planning on moving there for start of next year on a sponsorship.

way cheaper to do it on your own, those companies are great to take the stress out of things, but it costs loads more!

not sure where i'll be living. but will aim near the CBD, Bondi, Coogee, Randwick, Surrey Hills areas. They are places I know and easy to get to work from. Plus they are just generally nice places to live.
