We are looking to attend the National Finals Rodeo in Dec. There are so many web sites offering tickets. Does anyone know if you need to buy these tickets this early. It seems to me some of these sites are just trying to make you panic on not getting tickets,and pay their inflated price. Any information about tickets and hotels would be much appreciated. Thank you
Las Vegas has more hotel rooms than any city in the world. In fact, on one corner of the Las Vegas strip (where Las Vegas boulevard meets Tropicana Road), there are more hotel rooms in the four hotels located there than there are in the entire city of San Francisco.
Yes, they are just trying to make you panic unnecessarily. The one event in Las Vegas where hotels and tickets, and even dinner and lunch reservations are almost impossible to get is the Consumer Electronics Show that takes place every January. Everyone I know books their hotel for the following year for that event when they are checking out of the hotels in the current year. My own company has already booked for next year's CES event and it is still 11 months away.
But the rodeo is in early December--and to be blunt, this is almost the slowest time of the year in Las Vegas--meaning it is the easiest time to get hotels anywhere in town. The longer you wait, the more likely you'll be able to get a great deal anywhere you wish to stay.
