Need advice

Hi everyone ! i need some advice whether is it safe to go to bangkok for holiday ? feel free to give advice !

What advice do you need?

Over the past decade, the biggest threats to tourists have been diarrhea, scams, petty theft, and accidents, pretty much in that order. Even the events of last May didn't change that.

I agree with the person above. If you're worried about the "Redshirts" and protests you have nothing to worry about. Bangkok is pretty safe for tourists apart from the normal scams, thefts, bad food etc. If you have any desire to go, then absolutely go. If your a female travelling alone, you may want to budget a bit more so you can be in all female dorms or private rooms and it is easy to meet people and find travel companions in almost any hostel, restaurant or cafe.

Bangkok could be even safer than the major cities in your own country! Protests are long over, millions and millions of tourists have visited and returned safely home. The worse thing they probably did is pay too much for something from a street vendor. Even during the protests tourists still arrived by the many thousands, they just went to other cities in Thailand or chose places in Bangkok where no protests were at.

Many women visit women all by themselves and have no real problems. If you need hotel recommendations remember to mention a price range. Just recently at the Suvarnabhumi Airport they opened a new transportation service - the Airport Rail Link. This rail service will take you from the airport to the Pratunam area for only 15 baht (until the end of the year.) You could have hotels near this rail link in Pratunam or use taxis or the Skytrain to take you to other areas in the city quite cheap.

Up to you.

Bangkok is our favourite city. We love so much about it and visit at least twice each year. People talk about scams and so on, but common sense will keep you safe from all that sort of thing. We feel that it is safer than our home city and in fact most western cities in the world. The troubles that plagued the city during May this year are now over, the rebuilding of damaged buildings is either complete or under way and life is back to glorious chaotic, happy and noisy normal. We'll be there again in 2 weeks time and can't wait.
