Spanish schools in Argentina

Hi everyone,

Hey Nyssa! I would check out baexpats.com for more specific info on the city. What's your language level now? It's a little expensive living here but you would have no trouble lining up cheap classes or language exchange partners once you arrived. I feel that it's pretty safe (I'm a 24 y.o. girl), though I've heard it's more dangerous than it used to be... use common sense and watch out for pickpockets. Cheers!

Hi Nyssa:

Just to reinforce - watching out for pickpockets. That old chestnut " Senor, there is birddroppings on your coat - I will help you" still goes on. Walk away!
My visits over the last 5 years - not as safe as it was but Ok with [u]care[u]
Bs As is a beautiful city great food, fab shops. However, learning spanish in Bs AS , for me, wasn't much good. the school was Ok but really Bs As is so popular that most speak some english and , of course, it is full of US, canadians, etc. So difficult to practice what you've learnt.

since that visit i've gone to spanish school in Paraguay. Lessons half the price, living expenses ditto. No one speaks english - it's ideal preparation for journeying in Latin America.
buen viaje!

Yes Pickpocketing and Petty theft are usually the majority of crime
