Kenya aug 2011

Hey
Im looking to travel in africa in either july or august 2011.
Ill be on a tight time limit, and a budget, which sucks.
I would have the whole of july, but am thinking i would have to be 18, with isnt until 28th July D:
If i went in August, i would only have about 2 and a half - 3 weeks, because i'd need to be back for a level results day (incase it all goes wrong) then to prepare for uni, provided results day goes well!
Im thinking maybe Kenya or Tanzania.
I'd like someone to travel with as my friends aren't intrested in the whole travelling on a budget thing, anyone a similar age/time restrictions/interests, I would like to know more about your plans Flights/hostel/visa/vaccinations etc. Maybe to meet up with someone who plans to be there for a longer, who could show me around, and tell me about the things to do whilst I'm there would also be good.

Thought i ought to add more lol -
I don't really have any plans of what I want to do, I'm open to suggestions, but i'm interesed in traveling to the coast and maybe snorkelling for a couple of days? I like the idea of scuba diving too, but that might be too expensive, and touristy. I dont know what its like for snorkelling in kenya, so it may be a stupid idea!! I know its only a couple of weeks, so like an average holiday, but I dont really wanna be all touristy if you know what i mean. I want to see as much of the country as possible in the time i have.

Hope it helps if you're interested in replying, and please do! (does that sound desperate.. haha)
Demi (:

I can assist you in travelling to the coast,Mombasa because I stay there.About snorkelling in Kenya, that could be new here. But The kenyan coast is full of adventure and fun.You will also have a chance to see the historical sites like Fort Jesus. We can also tour other parts near mombasa like malindi and Zanzibar. If time allows,we can tour the Maasai mara and Lake nakuru. If you ned more advice I can assist you in and also accompany you during your stay in Kenya.

Hello DMW,

Kenya is a lovely destination and you would have alot of things to do all year round. On the contrary, we have snorkelling along the kenya coast, both the south and the north coast, at the diani lagoons and the watamu marine national park.
Once in kenya, I would recommend you to sample alot more of kenya and there are quite a number of wildlife parks and reserves to visit and even off the beaten tousist track...maybe we can work around your budget and see what is the best we can get out of it and still give you the experiece of a lifetime.
