Hello! I'm planning to travel to Australia and New Zeland later this year, unfortunately none of my friends are in a position to want to travel at the moment! So I'm going solo I was thinking at the beginning of September! I've actually been to STA travel and they suggested doing a group trip from Darwin to Sydney for the first month, does anyone have any experience of this/ think its a good idea? I will then be in Sydney at the end of September, will anyone else be around here at this time and fancy meeting up/ travelling together!. Also any advice for a solo traveler would be greatly appreciated, I've never been traveling before so it's all new to me, but I'm looking forward to it
Hi I'm in melbourne at the minute trying to get some work for couple of months. Started tracelling back last sept was with a fede girls but they had to go home and now im a lone wolf Then I'm thinking of doing some travelling from sept to dec including east coast, Uluru, etc I'm thinking of doing a tour with Peter Pan or backpackers world travel I know a good few ppl that have done it that way and said its best for travelling alone. I'm defo interested in heading to New Zealand and Tasmania as well but like yourself I'm a little anxious of doing it on my own. Would be Keen to have a travelling partner
Hi I'm also travelling to Australia in October alone, and am planning on working and travelling for a while and then doing the same in NZ so can do as much as possible whilst there. Would also be keen to meet people doing the same sort of thing to travel with- how long will you be in Sydney for/Australia for? Would be great to meet some people beforehand!

I'm also doing the same thing, me and my friend are flying to Sydney beginning of September and intend to work there a while, save, and then travel the east coast. Anyone have any advise on what's the best/cheap accommodation to start off with?
Ye it would be nice to meet up beforehand I'm not sure how long I'll be in Sydney I have no timescale, I think i will be in Australia for about 3 months, but I have nothing set in stones yet, just trying to figure things out! How long are you planning to be in New Zeland for?
I'm not sure yet! A few months at least I reckon. where abouts are you based atm? Would be so fun having christmas and NYE in Sydney with the fireworks etc! Are you planning on working or just holidaying?
