Backpacker insurance

I’m trying to decide who to get my travel insurance with and have found a quote from Direct Travel Insurance for a years backpacker cover which is £165 which seems the cheapest by far, insure and go has gone up to £290 now. Has anyone heard of or been insured with Direct Travel insurance before? Any other recommendations?

Have you tried STA travel? they're good for students/young people...other than that comparethemarket or moneysupermarket might be a good comparison.

Never - EVER go for what appears to be the cheapest. Always read the small print before you part with any money.
You know the saying.... 'Had an accident, not your fault? Well tough luck, this policy doesn't cover your broken leg and hospital treatment in the country you're in.'
Every policy is different.
