Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone knows if I need a return ticket out of Mexico upon entering?
I am an Australian, flying from Toronto Canada to Cancun.
I really don't want to purchase a ticket out of Mexico as I dont know how long I want to travel around.
Will this be a problem?
Thanks
Hi,
You don't need any type of onward ticket entering Mexico, that's a def, sorry fpr short reply, in a hurry!
I concur. You don't need an onward ticket. Have fun.

That sounds good. It says on their visa site you do thats all.
What would they do if they happened to ask and you didnt have one ???

Well, it's the day of the E Ticket so I consider it doubtful they would ever, but here's a way that will make you feel better.. Go to a website of your choice and look up an interesting itinerary. Print it and bring it with you to show. It'll be good enough. I've crossed in and out of Mexico several times and no one has ever even thought of asking.

I still remember that at the airport, they did not ask me for the onward ticket (both check-in counter and custom).
But when I applied visa, it's necessary to show the itinerary and it's required the 2-ways reservation.
So I agree with Piecar's point.
Bring your own body bag!
