My plan is to fly to london from the US (im American), fly to amsterdam, train to berlin, train to Prague. Any suggestions on hostels, things to do, places to party, things to watch for? I like to party but I am travelling alone and would like to stay in hostels where it is easy to meet people.
also is it necessary or wise to bring a laptop, or do most hostels have computers
Itinery looks good. Forget the laptop. You're on holiday, not in the office. There are internet cafes everywhere in European towns with populations over 20,000 or so. Many hostels have computers connected to the web too - many are free to use.
Best hostels in Europe.. Amsterdam. You'll meet travellers in every one. Stick to the ones in the Red Light. They're the best and cheapest.
Have you worked your UK-Europe mainland flight/train itinery out? There are rip-offs and great bargains to be had by all.
Yo im American also from Miami, I have 3 weeks off in october and havent made out my mind on where to go, I was thinking of going to an asian country but going by yourself seems a little crazy. Ive always wanted to go to London and ride the train, ive been to the czech republic, spain, portugal, paris and Austria. let me know what your plans are, look me up on facebook john goez.
Berlin = best city in Europe. Stay around the Orienburger strasse area for awesome bars.
The Pegasus Hostel is good tho - its in the east side of Berlin.
