If you were just given a ticket, then it isn't even something you are required to mention in your visa application.
Here's a link to a thread that discusses what does keep someone from being allowed to travel to the US:

Audrey,
This question has been asked & answered many times on TP. The US uses a self reporting system. You tell them your criminal record. You are not in the system. You have nothing to report. Fill out the forms as if this incident never happened. Relax and enjoy your visit to the US.
You've as much possibility - at the USA border, of having a bad or good time whether you have a record or not.
Fill in the form/s (if you get it/them), be honest and you'll get in. There wont be a problem - 100%.
As I already said, if you're as clean as a new shiny coin, you can still get hassled on entry. They have very moody guards and immigration officers there - as do many countries.
I've had a breeze getting through at JFK and total unwarranted garbage in Miami. Its all chance.
At this point you dont have a record, you basically got off with an expensive warning,
,i'd not complicate things by mentioning the incident.
