Some of my family members have suggested that they would like a more tangible copy of the blog from my RTW trip. They have suggested a 'vanity publishing'. Is there any problem with doing this as far as 'Tavellerspoint' is concerned (i.e. who owns the copyright to the blog) and if it is OK is it possible to print or download things like 'my map' and 'my itinerary'.

By default, you own the copyright to everything you write. The only thing you give travellerspoint by writing blog entries here is the right to display/use your writing, and the even specifically say that travellerspoint won't sell your content without your permission. So (presuming to speak for Sam and Peter here) there's absolutely no problem from Travellerspoint's point of view. In fact, we help make it possible. If you go to your blog management pages, under manage -> print, there's the possibility to generate one big pdf or html file of your entire blog (or a subsection thereof).
The map is a bit of a problem with printing; we can't turn it into a static image for including in a pdf yet. We include it in the HTML option, so if you print that directly, then it would show up. If you really want to go the vanity publishing way, then I'd recommend making screenshots of the map yourself, and manually including them in the final document.
