I'm looking for the best / cheapest way to fly to Australia from Canada. Most flights I can find are upwards from $1800 CAN (one way). Anyone know of a cheaper route or time of year ?!
how about flying to LAX then from there... just looked on the Australian site www.webjet.com.au
and to get to Toronto (dont know where u are ) is $3000 return flying AirCanada.
Cheapest to LAX is about $1800 return ! so look at trying to get yourself to LA first.

Thanks for the suggestion. This seems like the best option yet to cut down the price. I could hitch hike to LA and fly from there. Adds an extra adventure and cuts the price down all in one shot
Also u can check V Australia. It also departs from USA, u can choose 11 cities in USA. For example, it costs A$440 from LA to Sydney on 30/11/09.
