We've just booked our tickets to Madrid next April.
Might be a bit late to answer but the Feria de Abril is a private party on the whole. The centre of seville shuts up shop while everyone goes to the fair ground. It can be fun but remember you won't get into the majority of the casetas (tents) as they are for members and friends only.
There are some public ones though and you can still get a good feel of the place.
However, the rest of seville is a bit of a ghost town.

2 days each is enough to see the sites, etc in Seville, Granada, Cordoba. Even one whole day if you were in a hurry. A good map helps. Do use the metro in Madrid, but be careful of pickpockets. Sunday morning there is the big Rastro market. A fair bit to see in Madrid.
