Hello all,
Most of the reviews say that you have to take a tuk tuk to get into the town or any restuarants outside of the resort. I don't really wanting to be arguing with a tuk tuk driver when I'm aiming for a relaxing holiday! Is it walking distance? Say within 3km?
Thanks!
I have not stayed at Sokha as I have stayed on Victory Hill. If I remember from my research Sokha is probably 2-3kms from Downtown. I would assume walking would involve a lot of uphill. Daytime probably okay to walk (don't wear bling and hold your purse/handbag tightly-drive past bikes can end in sorrow) but I WOULD NOT walk in the dark. Sokha being one of the most expensive resorts in the area I would assume the Resort would have regular tuk tuks to provide service including a set price to downtown. Email the Resort and enquire. Remember that when the sun goes down the price goes up. If there is only one of you take a moto (cheaper), more than one take the tuk tuk.
