Amsterdam over easter - where to go

Pete-B has indicated that this thread is about Netherlands

I would definately recomed you to see the Rijksmuseum, it is the best museum I have ever been to. The art there is awsome! Lots of really cool war-paintings from the golden age of Holland. There is also lots of other museums you can go to if you are into art, it ranges from the more traditionaly types like Van Gogh, to the hemp museum and the more erotic types. But even if you are not particulary into art, you should not miss the Rijksmuseum!

But do not plan to much, just walk around in the city and have fun. There is a lot of attractions, and the people there is really friendly. And do not worry about getting lost, because you probably will. The streets are not in a straight line because of the cannals, and can therefore be a bit confusing for visitors. But part of the fun is walking around and trying to find out where you are

Hello Pete,

I generally agree with HanHans ,you should go to Het museumplein were several of the museums are situated such
as the van gogh museum and het rijksmuseum. There is also the Hermitage which is a dependant form the hermitage in sint-petersburg. If you are interested in shopping you could go to the PC hoofdstraat for all the Fancy brands and to the kalverstraat for the high-street brands.
You could also go on a boat across the canals but I don't know how expensive this is.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your advice guys. will let you know what we find.
