Me and my hubby are thinking of going away for 3 months later in the year but cant make our minds up which continent to travel to. We really want somewhere that has nice beaches, nice scenery, good food, relatively safe (no hostage/kidnappings!) and most importantly,cheap. I did Thailand and Malaysia a few years back and loved it, pace of life, food, cheap but thinking of somewhere new and always wanted to go to South America. Any Suggestions?

It is, but it definitely aint cheap anymore!
You dont say where you are from, which would make a big difference to your costs.
But if you liked Asia, how about Indonesia. A little island hopping and you can see and do a ton there.

Great weather, nice beaches, excellent food and cheap, good wine, a lot to see, you can rent an apartment for yourself cheap: -snip- fantastic night life and no kidnapping!!

Makka is right! South America! If you are looking for beaches, colonial villages, sun and relaxation, there’s no need to think twice about it, South America is the place for you. While you are over there you can go from one country to another and it’s not too expensive.
