Deserted Beaches in Thailand?

Hello,

Tasmym,
There are plenty of beaches that are not crowded. I would get myself to and check with the travel shops. They have many beach options to choose from. I did this years ago and they found a beach hut for small baht. It was just too quiet for me. Went back to . Don't remember the name, but they are out there. , & are not heavily visited either. There are islands close to Lanta or Jum that maybe just what you are looking for. Down south, has miles of quiet beaches as well.

Hopefully other TP members will offer their fave beach as well.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply - this will be very helpful.

Yes, the best place to hit first is Krabi and then from there to different islands. Koh Lanta is very quiet island and it has 4 more islands nearby which are even more secluded.
I camped in Bamboo island (near Phi Phi island) too.

hi...

i was on an over night train and met a german bloke,he said he was going to a special desert island,so i tagged along.we got off the train in chumpon, then headed west accross to ranong..from ranong we got a boat to an island called ko phayam..it was the most remote place ive ever been to in my life, the island had a population of about 100 and there was no cars or proper roads, just a few dirt tracks leading to the 2 beaches on the island..these were accesible by moped..i remember the the beach i was staying on was about 2 miles long, some days there wouldnt even be one other person on there, pure heaven but very quiet and peaceful, wouldnt advise unless you like your own company...there was a few backpackers and people on the island and one or two little restraunts on the pier but this island is more or less one of thailnds last secret's and still pretty much un-developed and unspoilt..

Ah, thanks guys. I am not a massive fan of my own company for long periods of time but it would be nice to visit places like this for a day or two, to get away from the backpacker/tourist trail!
