Thailand/Laos/Cambodia/Vietnam- In 6 weeks...can it be done?

What do you guys think? We have 6 weeks to do the above do you think this is long enough?

Hi,
I would suggest to spend 2 weeks in Thailand, 1 week in Cambodia, and 3 weeks in Vietnam.
If you need the last leg in southern Thailand, start travel to Vietnam first. Flight to Hanoi and work your way to the south. You can flight to save time as well, but 3 week is quite enough to see VN thoroughly.
From Hochiminh City you can bus to Phnom Penh with fairly comfortable bus. Siem Reap is worth to have a look at.
Flight to Thailand ( should check what is happening there before you book any flight).
I propose to skip Laos as it is quite similar to Thailand in some extend.
Happy travel

That's really helpful, thank you, I didn't think about flying to Hanoi first so will look into that now.
great advice

I agree with 'grease'. 2 weeks Thailand, 1 week Cam. 3 weeks in VN. I would fly BKK-HAN on . I would use the open tour bus system to go from HaNoi to HCMC. At least 4 companies run the open tour, I prefer . Better buses, stop at better hotels. My photos cover this entire route. My covers from Nha Trang to HCMC. Spend 3 weeks in VN. I took the bus from , an easy trip now that the road is paved all the way. Cambodia will take about a week. Perhaps a few days in PP, to Siem Reap. Bus much cheaper, boat has better photos ops. Buy the 3 day Angkor Wat pass. Then one long day: SR-BKK. Read about the route .

This leaves you 2 weeks in Thailand. Maybe 1 week , , 1 week of beach time down . Fly home.

Send me a PM if you have questions on any of the 3 countries.
