Traveling Advice?

I am traveling solo to the UK from May 16 to May 31. I have some ideas as to what I want to do. I am planning on the first three days in Bath so I can go on some tours to see stonehenge and things like that. Since I lived in HK and now in NY, i am more interested in nature than the city. I also plan for a couple of days in wales and also in the lake district. Anyone with any advice would be great since this is the first time I am traveling in Europe. Thank you in advance.

Visit the Lakelands area, if you can. It is some of the most dramatic scenery that I've come across in England. If you're going to stop in at a pub on the way, ALWAYS pick a pub in a widening of the road town.....Those pubs, in my experience, tend to have more of a community atmosphere and you end up getting some interesting invitations. Raise a glass for old Piecar. I'd live in Northern England if it wasn't so fucking expensive.

For the touristy stuff there are pretty good bus tours where you can see a few sites in 1 day.
Otherwise bus is a great way to get around. Transport is pretty easy in UK.
