Your City’s/Country’s Day of Celebration

Could you help me?

HI World2011 - In Australia we have

26th January - Australia Day

Second weekend in March (Melbourne) - Moomba

25th April - ANZAC Day - We remember the original landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is our most important national occasion. Dawn service at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne followed by the gunmetal breakfast.
ANZAC Parade down Swanston Street.

June - 2nd Monday, Queen's birthday means a long weekend.

That one day in September - the last Saturday is Grand Final Day. AT the MCG. (Footy)

The first Tuesday in November- the race that stops a nation - The Melbourne Cup. In the red-roofed homes of Australia, people stop what they're doing, be they at work or home, and all listen with bated breath to the running of the world's richest handicap race.
