1 Month Global Interrail Pass

Hello All

Depending on where you are going it might be cheaper to use (discounted) point-to-point tickets (bus, train, ferry, flights) than an Interrail pass.

Do you have any ideas on which countries you want to go to? How much train travel do you plan to do? Every day on the train for at least 2 hours or taking the train every 3-5 days to go to the next city?

I would like to spend at least 3-5 days in each country, longer in Italy as I would like to travel to several places - Milan, Pisa and Rome. I know there are charges on top of the rail pass for reservations on the high speed train. I understnd I can get slower trains however which don't have charges?

Train ticket prices in Italy are relatively cheap, if your main destination is Italy it can work out cheaper to use point-to-point. It would depend on the rest of the trip.

BTW, Pisa and Milan are not that interesting - unless you have been before consider going to Venice, Naples and Florence.
