Where and when to see gorillas and Chimpanzees?
If you send the Admin of Travellerspoint a message saying you are a travel guide/agency and then ask a question like this in the forum, do you really not think we'll realize you are just trying to promote your company here?! That's not allowed, and we won't hesitate to inactivate your profile if you try this...
My fingers are itchy
But to give some more answers to this so-called open question, which might of use to travellers:
Chimpanzees and Gorillas (mountain gorillas) can both be seen in Rwanda. Mountain Gorillas are also good to spot in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and it's also about 150 dollars cheaper for the permit.
Lowland Gorillas are probably best viewed in Gabon or Equatorial Guinea, although some areas in both Congos are almost equally as good, so is a national park in the southeastern corner of Central African Republic, though both logistics and safety might be a concern in the latter cases.
Seen Chimps quite easily on Chimp Island, during a trip on the Gambia River.
I travelled to Uganda forests of Bwindi where I had a chance to see the rarerest and majestic apes of all times.I explored the impenetrable forest and also had a chance to view the famous equator where we stopped for some photos and also had the opportunity to listen to some few interesting facts. -snip-
You can see chimps at Kaniyo Pabid near Murchison Falls National Park in the north of Uganda - I think the chimp population in this area is the largest in Uganda.
