I am in France for a year on a student visa. To apply for a carte de sejour in France, which you have to get in order to stay here legally, the first step is to have the immigration officer at the airport stamp your passport with an entry stamp. I neglected to do this, because I didn't have to go through immigration when I got off the plane and I neglected to read the OFFI form until just now. I thought all I had to do was go to the Prefecture of Police. What do I do now? Will I be denied a carte de sejour to stay in France?
