Figure 9 hours from Nong Khai to BKK via bus. You can go direct from Morchit to Trat, 5 hours. Baht bus to the ferry, 40 minutes, ferry to KC. This might help with planning. Or .
You will not be able to get to the pier in time for the last ferry. If everything goes as planned, you would not hit Trat until after 11:00pm. This is a 14 hour day on buses and you are not on the ferry. One option that might make more sense is to stay in BKK overnight. There is a van from KSR direct to Laem Ngop pier. That may be a better option for you than getting into Trat around midnight. Stay on KSR, enjoy a decent night's sleep, on the early van to KC. Good luck with your planning.
