Am looking at doing RTW in the next couple of years, advice

Am 44 yrs old now, stayed in the same house for the last 23yrs, worked in the same job for 14yrs (which I don't like), same things everyday.

Price depends on what countries you're thinking of visiting. I have a general rule which you can go anywhere on the cheap for about 100usd - 150usd a week. Of course, this may be alot or a very little spending money depending where you go.

As for flight paths, try to go in the same direction, i think this is what usually happens anyway when booking around the world tickets. But i also agree with overland adventures, you see alot more and i rekon its way more interesting.

Every country is different for working. Maybe get a tefl/tesol cert (teach english). You can buy books on this subject.

Dont avoid any countries unless there is some sort of military coop. The pones people say to stay away from are often the best places to go.

Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt... it is only my personal opinion from my preferred experiences.

Happy travels!

Ive just returned form backpacking around the world for a year with my new wife (it was our honeymoon) Have a look at our . Here you will also find our expenses for each country (go to the Table of Contents Page) we visited, the accommodation we used and what we spent our money one. It should give you a good idea I hope.

Le me know if you have any questions

Thank for the replies.

I will read more of the blog, laughing at the "traffic lights"
