I am an American and have overstayed my visa by several years. I have travelled frequently within Europe with no problems but am worried about the new Ryanair policy. Does anyone know if they are in fact now checking visa stamps and if so what they would do if they discover my overstay? Will immigration authorities be alerted or will I just be denied the necessary stamp to board the plane? I would like to travel from Barcelona to Fuerteventura.
