Hi,
I will be staying in Hanoi for the next few days and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a decent hostel. I'm 26, travelling by myself so would like a nice friendly place that's not too expensive and good location, maybe old Quarter. I found one place that has female dorms for $7.95 per night. Does this sound too expensive? Don't mind budget places but would like a fairly clean hostel all the same! :-)

A friend and I are currently staying In Hanoi Hostel (91c Hang Ma Street). It's around $5 a night for an 8 bed mixed dorm, this includes breakfast (toast, tea, coffee, fruit, eggs). It is in the old quarter and a short walk from the main attractions. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds with duvets, reading lights etc. There is also a rooftop terrace where you can use the kitchen facilities and watch TV and DVDs.
