Where I should go in Poland?

On April I am going to Poland and I want to plan my trip what I should see there?

Well if you are arriving into Warsaw, then I would not spend more than a couple of days there. It is a massive city and the only thing worth exploring is the old town and some museums. Lazienki Park is also worth a visit.

Beyond Warsaw, Krakow is certainly one of the best cities in Poland. As well as the beatiful city itself, you can also visit the salt mines and Auschwitz from there.

Wroclaw is a gem of city with fantastic outdoor beergardens.

Zamosc is also fantastic city. Poland is a massive country, how long are you planning to stay?

I've only been to Krakow but would recommend it and would echo the comments of the previous poster. If you are looking for somewhere to stay I'd recommend Greg and Tom's hostel - it's great.

Hi Melly

I have been to Warsaw in November and it was ok but I hear in the summer it is a lot busier with a lot more things to do. I think there is a train from Warsaw to Auschwitz too.

Also Zakopane in the south, just on the border of Slovakia is a good tourist venue, alot of bars and restaurants if you want to chill out. Generally there are people by the roadside selling rooms, we paid 50zloty a night for ours, which, at the time was about £15. It is also quite mountainous if that sort of thing intrests you.

As it is so close to Slovakia maybe you could spend a couple of days there.

Hope this helps

Hey there

I have not been to a lot of places in Poland, but some days in Krakow is for sure recommended. And while there a trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and to Auschwitz Concentration Camp are programs that must be done

These are my main advices

Wish you a wonderful trip!

hello. just to let you know that the salt mines are great but now that they have dug more passages the tour underground is 3 hours long so take a bottle of water! saying that they have a couple of years ago added a little room where you can get something to eat and drink I think.

Krakow. There are lots of things to do in there. Pope John Paul II used to stroll Krakow streets when he was a young student and as he became a Cardinal. Impressive landmarks, lovely vistas, world-class works of art, and stunning curios are also found in Krakow.

I agree with most of what everyone said I'd also add Gdansk - especially in Late August - September when the big summer market is there.

As ti Gdansk, it was pretty cheap when I was there - but I'm sure that's changed.

Cracow! It is great. I would love to travel there again...
