Welcome to Travellerspoint! Quite a few Aussies hanging out here I've done ... it's a rough life, hehe. I've met a few members throughout the years, and last year spent 10 days on the road with one. There's a ton of folks that have met up through this site, though like elsewhere, it's not a matter of putting up one post and then forgetting about it There's been at least one wedding between folks that met on Travellerspoint too!
I'll be at Oktoberfest later this year (first time; hooray!) with a bunch of mates from the Netherlands. If you are heading there let me know and I'll buy you a pint/pot/scooner

Sounds good my girlfriend and myself are doing a trip close to that in sept and will let you know how it goes.
From Denver via all the good National Parks/Monuments then out to LA-San Deigo San fran, then up the west coast to Seattle. The Gf keen for all the shopping, and I'm keen for that and the landscape.

Hi photomcmillan! I've heard that Denver is really quite beautiful. I could also try that route actually as I was thinking of first meeting up with one of my friends who is in Houston, Texas at the moment and maybe venturing out from there. I'm also up for the landscape and just the vast scenery, think it would be great to explore. Have you and your gf traveled much in the US? And cheers for the message. :D

Yeah the main reason why we are starting in denver is because we are registering a car to a mates place in denver. This is hers and mine first trip. We are 19-20. WIl be living up in banff on the ski fields as i work in that area as well. Will let you know if theres any problems we encounter, the only ones are seeming to be before we leave.
Hey photomcmillan, my candidature has been extended due to a lack of samples for my experiments so I don't think I'll be able to make it in Sept. Hope you and your girlfriend have an awesome time and thanks so much for the response. Look forward to hearing about your trip when you guys get back. ^_^
