Im 23 and from north wales, ive not been traveling so cant really help you out on that part but i was wondering if u needed a buddy? and were about u wanted to travel to?

I was planning to start in NZ get a years working holiday visa and spend about a year travelling around the north and south island then go to Oz for a bit. Also would quite like to go to Fiji. I don't think I'll be putting specific dates on when I'll move on from one place to the next as I want it to be a chilled enjoyable experience!
A travel buddy would be great, where are you thinking of going?!

Id like to go to Nz, OZ, FIJI and thiland on the way bk :-) but i wana do then all in around 3-4 months as i dnt think i cound be away form the bf much longer, but i supose id have to just go with the flow and go were the wind takes me :-) when r u thinking of going? were r u from and how old if u dnt mind me asking :-) xx

Fair enough, well I was thinking of going about June - July, if your planning on only going for a few months could always start off together then go our own ways... Be quite nice to know at least one person when I arrive in NZ lol!

Ino tell me about it, but it just doesnt interest him!!!! ive tried everything but he aint having any of it :-( but hes great with me going so i've got to do it this year. NZ is fine and safe to travel around as is Oz. Dont forget that June July over here is our winter, so it will be cold in NZ so you will need your winter woolies especially if you go to the South Island. Hitch hiking is strongly discouraged, but you can get bus and train passes in Oz with jump on jump off at how many destinations you might wish to do. Havent done Fiji or Thai as thats what everyone does. Try and get a round the world ticket if you want to do a few stops as that will end up being cheaper and I think you have about a year to use it. Check it out though. Dont quote me. It isnt cheap in Australia, so if you want to spend a bit of time, you will need to get at least a part time job. Plenty of backpackers joints all over, but always be aware of security, more from other backpackers than staff. Will try and post some OZ travel sites for you when I get around to it.
