bugeting your self could you stay in thailand for 3 months with 3000 gb pounds?
Ive lived in Thailand on £3.50 a day before so that would equal £322... £3000 is easily enough, too much really, however depends heavily on where you are staying, eating etc. This time i'm going to budget £20 a day so that £1840 for 3 months and I will be eating in proper restaurants and decent hotels..
btw... that £3.50 was for accommodation and food/drink!
brilliant thanks for that advice its amazing what i wanted to here what if u decided to branch over to cambodia and vietnam
last question promise lol
thanks again
No, please ask more! Travelling is one of my favorite topics, hence joining these forums.
Cambodia is generally cheaper than Thailand. Vietnam is inbetween the both. £20 a day will deffinatley suffice even in the big citys. This summer I will be in India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, £20 a day is easily enough for this. What I like to do though is have a side budget for travel expenses of around £200. Just keeps everything easier to manage.
Where abouts are you going in Thailand out of interest, also the time you go will have a impact on prices but once again, £20 per day is deffinatley enough!
great I could talk about travelling for ever, um places i was thinking about going was phuket, phang-nga, and kh phi phi whislt making my way up to bagkok and either up to like north such as chaing mai and across to laos or go from bangkok across to phonm penh, cambodia and then end up in Vietnam you travelled to se asia often then or ?
ps thanks for all the advise is really helpful.
thanks mike
Mike,
1,000 GBP a month is plenty for someone your age. Once in SEA, you will meet others that will give you tips on saving money. Good luck.
these are good advices for u mikeeyer1, its up to u which one you like..!!
One point to add, ive done this quite a few times so I know £20 a day will be a luxury for me but im used to staying in very basic accomodation. Why not start with £25 a day to be safe? After a few weeks im sure you wont even be spending £20. You will be suprised what you can get for your money, even in Thailand. A 16 hour coach (including night boat) from BKK to Koh Phangan costs around £16!
mike, nick and 3isamagicnumber, like to thank you all individually for your advise it as all helped me in my dicision making as it is cheaper that i planned so bonus got more to send then i geuss thanks again all
cheers mike
