Hello I'm Josie, i'm a student in London and I booked my flight to Bangkok earlier today. Currently very flexible on plans for my first independent travel but was thinking of heading up to Chang Mai from Bangkok then around to Hanoi and down the east coast. Maybe the Angkor cycle trail. Then thinking of ending up in Singapore before heading home at the end of August/middle of september (havent booked return flight yet). If anyone is doing the same or similar and wants to chat and maybe even have a someone to meet up with en route then give me a shout!
Hello Josie, I planned to go to Thailand by mid of July and will end at August ( I havent make exact date).
Beaches, local markets and local life are on my 'must visit' list. But I wont go to Chiang Mai since I'm not too interested with stuffs there :D
Instead of Singapore, why dont you put visiting Indonesia on your trip journey?
But if you need modern lifes and stuff then Singapore is suitable for you.
Tina.
Hello Josie, I'm thinking of going over to Thailand/ Vietnam in the summer, you say you have bought you flight over? Could you let me know what air line you have chosen to fly with and how much you have got the flight for.
Thanks
James
Thanks Tina for the advice I will definitely look into it!

Josie

Josie & Tina ...
I will be in Bangkok sometime mid June for school and will be traveling come the last weekish of June. What are either of you thinking?
Hi Josie and Tina,
I've just been looking at your previous posts about your travelling plans. I went to Thailand last year and loved it so much that I want to go back this summer and travel north to Chiang Mai and then on to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia before heading back to Bangkok.
I'm training to be a primary school teacher in Plymouth at the moment and i finish my final placement at the end of June. i was thinking about flying out to Bangkok in the first week of July before spending 8 weeks-ish over there...
None of my friends can join me so it looks like I'll be travelling by myself at the moment.
Sooooo if you're looking for someone to chat to or even meet up with on the journey i would be happy to do that It all seems a bit daunting at the moment!
Would be good to hear from you.

Hey guys!
I'm a 21 year old female from UK, about to embark upon my post uni gapyear. I will be in SE Asia from the 28th June, and want to go similar places to all you guys, from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, I would also love to go to Pai, then head into Laos, take the slow boat and usual route down to Vientiane, then into Vietnam, into Hanoi, travel along the coast down to Hoi Chi Minh, then into Cambodia, then into Bangkok again, then to hopefully finish doing some Thai islands.
I'm pretty flexible though and would love to meet up with any of you, as I'm a little anxious about travelling around this area alone as a lone woman!
Ellie x
