In the past I used to meet mainly Scandanavian, British, American and Israelites. Over the last two years however there has been an influx of young Irish backpackers. Is there any reason for this? Just a general sociology question out of interest really.
People suddenly discover places and the word spreads. It can even be as simple as a cheap airline route has opened up from A to B.
The French all used to go to either the south of France or just a few expensive places where French is spoken but these days you'll find them in Thailand and elsewhere.
