Sounds like an awesome way to celebrate your 21st. Although you may be nervous now, I am sure you will meet loads of fellow minded travellers as soon as you step off the plane! I also will be heading into Thailand nearer the end of May once I have been to Singapore and through Malaysia.
I see you are from Auckland, NZ. I am actually starting my travels there on Feb 4th - Do you have advice about any must see places in Auckland?

Oh that's cool, yeah I'm actually from Waiheke Island it's 30 minutes by ferry from central Auckland, absolutely beautiful here, covered in beaches and amazing coastal walks, i would definitely recommend you come and check it out!

I am currently travelling australia, but getting to Auckland on 7th feb, doing similar route to you.
going NZ then singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Let me know your dates as they may be similar to mine.
