where in thailand would you like to visit?

I'm Mark, from Swansea, Most my mates are settled in relationships, have kids or buying houses.......none of that interests me quite yet, i turn 30 next year and i to have a longing too go travelling, thinking of packing my backpack and going sometime between March-May next year, not sure how long for yet!!!!!
I would be going solo, and at the moment can't quite decide exactly where...i've toyed with south america, but the language barrier scares me and my latest is a flight too russia-trans siberian railway too Beijing, then travelling down too thailand and surrounding countries, possibly going too Australia if i can afford it.....though i'm sure that will change and as i'm going solo, i'm open too meeting with someone and changing my plans!!!!
Have you had any more thoughts about what you want too do? Would you be looking too work whilst you travel?
hi, im planning this july to have a 6 country trip in southeast asia (saigon-siem reap-bangkok-yangon-kuala lumpur-vientiane) and looking for someone who will share with the cab's fare hehe.. im 31 and i want to have this trip before i get too old... ive been to thailand 3 times and so far it left a smile in my heart .. hope to hear from u guys
hi thanks for all the replys things are moving very fast for me, I just left my partner of 6 years and her kids. its all very upsetting but life moves on (to se asia). i have been back in bristol since yesterday, I have enough money to get away for a couple of months but would like to work flatout for the next month or so then sell all my work tools and stuff i dont need so i have the option to stay traveling alot longer which id love to do. my heads spinning right now with everything thats going on in my life, I just wanted any replyers to know im still here & my traveling is DEFINETLY on. il reply to people over the next few days, thanks again everyone thats up for it!!

im kind of in the same boat as you at the moment im looking at traveling early july thiland is on my list as i want to do some diving there. other than that i have no real plans maybe aus. i have untill november when i need to be back. but don't want to travel on my own.

Hi mark, is that 2013 you will be traveling? all I really know is im going with a open mind & open plans, I would like a rough idea of what im going to be doing before I go, and definetly would feel better if I had someone(s) to travel with. I hadnt planed or even thought about working while I travel but I never say never, although I thik it would be unlikely.

Hi, I like the sound of your travel route, and yes shared taxi fares ect will definetly make things cheaper. are you from the uk? how long are you travelig for?

Hi, are you planning on a diving holiday/travel or is that just something you would like to do while away. when you fly from the uk are you going straight to thailand or will that be part way through your journey. I hadnt thought about oz but was tempted by new zealand as I have family that emigrated there so was hoping on some free accommodation as I said in a reply above im up for anything and am lookig for others to inspire me.
Im sure most of you use facebook, I dont have one but I'd like to talk to anyone thats serious about buddying up for a travel more before meeting anyone in another country, im not paronoid just cautious.... as I would expect any of you to be. I do have whatsapp on my phone and I should really fill i my profile page on here so you can get a rough idea who I am and what im about, your also welcome to message ad email me. or any other form of communication you can recommend i order to get to know anyone I will be meeting for a travel adventure.

hi sharnieee, have you got any plans for when your there or will you take it as it comes? will you be backpacking from place to place? im thinking about going sooner than I had originaly planned to, all I can think about is getting away!! I nearly cut my hand off at work yesterday thinking of thailand when I should have have been focused on the job. I saw (no pun intended) it as a sign that I should go asap.
