I am selling up in a couple of years and traveling the world - or bits of it - before I get too crinkly, wrinkly and cranky.
I'm an ancient one too (almost 69), but I still move around the world! - I'll be there for my second trip in November (Vientaine and Luang Prabang).
Are you from the States, or plan to visit the States? In any case, I would avoid the USA if you're visiting - I can't get out of here fast enough. The States are turning into a lower class haven for the unemployed and homeless - especially bad for older unemployed citizens!

Hi Daawgon, I'm in the States. How long do you stay in Laos each time you visit? Do you need inoculations/vaccinations to go there?
You must be in a different part of the USA from me. Although things aren't good, they aren't that bad - yet. But I figure I should travel while I can since the future here may not be as sunny as we'd like.
Where would you live, which country, if you could?
