jus wondering if anyone knows of any big music festivals (dance or bands) or any big musical acts touring america between oct 17th this yr till april 17th next yr?? be awesome to see what they are like compared to aussie festivsals
First of all, because it gets cold during the winter months (after October going through March), most of the major music festivals (which normally are held outdoors) are held during the May through September period, not during the period you are asking about. For this reason, there are almost no major music festivals booked during that period.
Having said that, there is one major "country" music event that is touring this October and November (Country Megaticket--which features Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, and others).
If you just want to see some regular American music acts and not a "festival", some of the groups that will be touring the US in the October and November timeframes in 2012 include Madonna, Carrie Underwood, Lynyrd Skynrd (with the Doobie Brothers), Rush, Joe Walsh (one of the Eagles), Joe Jackson, and BB King (although because of his diabetes he only plays personally part of the concert). I also noticed that Madonna, Rod Stewart, the Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Andrea Bocelli and Shania Twain all have shows booked in Las Vegas in the October through December 2012 timeframe.
