HI, I am going to be travelling from Heathrow to Melbourne on sept 10th. I am going out on my own for a year on WHV and would like to meet up with other travellers. I am initially going to stay on my brothers sofa for a while until i find my feet then maybe rent a room or hostel it while working in Melbourne. While im staying with my brother it would be good to meet up with other backpackers because i think i might be a bit distanced if im not staying in hostels. So if you are around Melbourne mid September then give me a shout, would be good to meet for a beer/coffee and hear peoples travel stories.
Sydney is very expense to stay in over xmas and the new year, because of the NY celebrations. People have already booked rooms for it.
I dont mind, Sydney is always expensive. I want a BBQ on bondi on Christmas day!!
I'm heading from Boston to Melbourne on WHV the last week of August, staying in a hostel until I figure things out. Hoping to get work in Melbourne to start out and visit my friend in Perth at some point before heading to the east coast. Still lots to figure out as it's coming up quick! Seems most people are heading for Sydney but figured I'd try Melbourne out first. So if thing work out, I should still be in Melbourne in mid-September.
