I am currently attending school in Alicante, Spain (southern), I finish my schooling in the end of November and want to spend the following month traveling Europe before I return to the U.S. in January... I have 2 main questions that I need some help with;

I will be traveling with my roommate from Spain... You are certainly welcome to join us in Amsterdam... we will only be spending a few nights there (Dec 31-Jan 2) though... We are planning on either "couch surfing" or staying in Hostels for sleeping... We are looking for the cheapest ways to travel within Europe at the moment? Do you have any suggestions? Have you done much traveling in Europe?
